SE training 2:34:00 [2] 13.54 mi (11:22 / mi) +632m 9:56 / mi
shoes: Asics Fuji Trabuco 4

I decided to combine reccing SB course and SE training in one. I planned the route on an OS map and I showed that my navigating is very poor- I went the wrong way @ Bowstones!! Anyway got back on track and made it half way to CP2 before turning back. On Sunday I will continue my recce. I have downloaded OS maps onto iPhone now so should not get lost and not have to waste time reading maps.

Used poles! The Leki poles are great. I used them for the whole run: using them properly going uphill, running with them in one hand on the flat/downhill. Found uphill was much easier and able to use less energy.

Overall pace was slow, but spent 20-30mins reading the map and running with an OS map is crap, so hopefully iPhone will make things easier. I will keep map in my bag as a backup.

Steady Run (with 6 hillsprints) 1:00:00 [3] 8.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
shoes: Kayano 22 (Blue)

Great session with Duncan this am- he thought my L glute was weaker than R and has given me a 15min routine to do 3-4xweek. He did his torture on my left side which made me roar out loud, really hurt!! But tonight I feel a new person! Shoulder/glute ok and I ran like a dream. Felt very strong and fresh, pain-free.
