Steady Run (L100 Recce Leg1) 6:19:41 [3] 28.1 mi (13:31 / mi) +2130m 10:56 / mi
shoes: Salomon Sense ride side 9

Weather: dry. full sun, very windy: head wind most of the way! It was a great day, met some great people, got good tips, thoroughly enjoyed the day. Found the climb from Wasdale to Black Sail Pass the toughest- it seemed to go on the ages. Then the descent was tricky and very technical in places- out of my comfort zone! Niggles included sure L shin muscle and RT abductor was sore after 10 miles. More strength and core work needed. I went astray about 4 times because I wanted to preserve the battery on my phone GPS- all good training. I am sure I could knock 30mins off the time, but on the day 6.30- 7 hours would be a good target to try and keep the body fresh.
