Snowed last night. The ground at Uni fields was partially frozen so ran in S-lab ultras. Ran 6.14, 6.15, 6.18, 6.17. Consistent pace. Was pleased with session. Wasn't as fast as 5.45 for conditions were difficult. Good workout. After the workout I felt fine, grass doesn't trash the body. Unfortunately in the evening I hurt my back lifting a Xmas tree! hopefully it wool be ok tomorrow.

Weather changed, got really cold so decided to run on treadmill! Ran easy, got a bit bored after 20mins so ran 4 1min efforts @ 16.3KPH for 1min with 3 min recovery then rest easy. Wanted to see what 5.45 mile rep pace felt like. Was quick, but did not push me too far. No tightness, felt good

Ran to PT, one hour core, legs and weights, then did hill session. 6x30s, then 4 x 1min. Ran hard and recovered before each rep. No problems with legs

Ran steady tonight- had to run up and down kerbs, stopping to cross roads but ran hard and relaxed. Ran some miles @ 6.30 pace. Feel I'm getting quicker. Duncan concentrated on Left side of back, glute, hammy. Really helped, no tightness during run

Ran around Heaton park while Katie was having a harp lesson. Ran looking at map on phone, ran on feel, felt strong

Could only fit an hour in this morning, but will run later. Ran in new trainers!! s-lab ultra. Feel fantastic, great grip, very comfortable. Feel ok after the XC
