Steady Run (with park run) 1:00:29 [3] 8.88 mi (6:49 / mi)
shoes: Adidas Boston no2

Change of plan this weekend! Poor weather was forecast around Scafell so decided not to go. Ran steady this morning, but ran Wythenshawe Park run at tempo pace. Ran 19.20, it's mostly on grass, slow course- enjoyed the effort.Legs felt fine, ran home afterwards.

Couldn't run Friday as it was Heather's birthday and we went out straight from work.

Easy run (with diagonals) 1:12:01 [2] 8.96 mi (8:02 / mi)
shoes: Kayano 25

Good session- targeted the diagonals. Ran them controlled with speed, with walking recovery between. IT feels pretty much ok, body is adjusting to running again

1st chance I've had to update log! Well I had a fantastic holiday, spent lots of time with family, had some great days out. We stayed in a villa with a pool near San Pedro. It was dry every day, temp about 30 degrees. If I wanted to go running I would have to of got up at about 7am and I took the decision to have some time off!! Was annoyed with myself, but thought with the heat it was going to be difficult and I didn't want to be antisocial!

So I started back on Friday- from the start my legs, glutes felt really sore after running. Now 5 days on I feel much better, getting back into it, but my L IT is tight and sore. I'm booked in to see Duncan next Tues so in the meantime I am using foam roller and trying to run on grass where poss. I'm sure it will pass and I'm following the plan- will run 60mins moderate tomorrow on the grass.

I notice Phil's session on Thurs is 5-10 x 1 lap (think about 300m) with 60s recovery. This is on grass so will give it a go, but run on the side of caution- will see how I feel after tomorrow's moderate run
