CDR effort, had no breakfast.
Windy, wet morning. Ran 3 loops of Alderley then decided to run along by-pass to avoid the long down-hills. My L side was tight and sore this morning. Took the first loop easy and it felt better. Pushed on for loop 2 and 3, but felt the down-hill was aggravating the hammy. Ran ok to the end, hopefully the strength training will kick in soon Some days it feels fine, others it;s bloody annoying!. It seems fine on the flat and up-hill, think the down hill is a bit too much.

My pace uphill was pretty decent, faster than last time

Ran easy in the evening- pace felt easy, glute was fine, had slight discomfort in hammy, but improved as the run progressed

Ran during lunchtime at work. I should be able to run for 40-45mins during my lunch and I found a trail by a river near the hospital which should be ideal. I ran steady today, everything felt good so I opened up a bit. Only slight stiffness, soreness had gone.

shoes: Kayano 25

did 20mins S&C then run on treadmill @ 4% incline- started at 12KPH, finished at 12.5KPH. Again I ran well, felt ok.

15min sauna afterwards

Ran on treadmill- incline 2-5%. Day off did me good. Did 30mins S&C. Glute/hammy felt better.

Note

Decided not to run, but did 40mins S&C which helped the sore left side. Will do S&C daily do try and get glute stronger, and aim to run 1 hour off road around Dunham.

I'm off tomorrow so I can some time relaxing

Miserable wet, cold and windy! Ran along Middeleton Way to Macc then back along canal, then around Lyme Park. I felt fine to start with, but when I hit the canal my glute tightened which affected my hammy and calf- it was really sore, but felt better when I started the off-road around Lyme Park. The canal was pretty shitty and was slipping with the mud, which made me tense up a bit.
