Steady Run 2:02:34 [3] 16.08 mi (7:37 / mi)
shoes: Kayano 25

CDR effort. Ran park run in worsley with Paul. Didn't race it, ran steady then ran steady home along the canal. Last night my L calf was sore, but felt better this morning. Actually ran quite well, slowed in last 4 miles, felt lack of energy and it was heating up a bit. Need 2 really easy days now to try and let the calf get better.

Easy run 1:12:45 [2] 9.13 mi (7:58 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Arahi 3

2 sets of drills on grass. Think might be best to avoid the bounding drill for now, puts a lot of stress on hamstring and calf. Ran 8 mile easy around the Mersey then 6 strides on grass at the end. Unfortunately a bloody dog bit my leg at the start (L calf). There was some blood, but wasn't too bad. My calf seems to hurt where it bit me! Probably a coincidence.

SE training 2:02:10 [3] 15.08 mi (8:06 / mi)
shoes: Kayano 25

Early start! CDR effort. Ran to Dunham and did 3 loops (about 2.8miles with 200 ft ascent) Mostly felt ok, slight tightness in L glute, it felt much better in the last third of the run.

Had session with Duncan afterwards- worked on L side, advised keep up with SC. He reckons Heaton Park would be good for a hilly loop, could to a figure of 8 and be about 4 miles. Will plan a route on OS maps. Apart from next week I am seeing him each Friday @7am

Easy run 26:55 [2] 3.34 mi (8:04 / mi)
shoes: Kayano 25

In Ireland, ran to get car in the morning. Felt ok, L side was fine. Did SC session in the evening (30mins).

Last few days have been a mixed bag with going to Ireland. Should be back on schedule tomorrow. I aiming to run to Dunham and do a circuit involving 2 climbs, probably 50:50 with road and offroad. Today my L side has felt fine, the SC session felt strong and kept good form. I hadnt told you, but I managed to wack my knee on a door at work, which bruised my L knee. It has been pretty painful over the weekend which has not helped, but feels much better now. Will try and keep out of trouble!! Seeing Duncan tomorrow

In Ireland, ran 3 laps of Claremorris Park run. It was on loose trail, kept pace at about 7.30 pace, pleased with the effort.
