Decided to run 2 mile loop 4 miles away which involved to climbs. Conditions were dry, cold, strong head wind.
Had breakfast 2 hours before run, no gels or water.
Started off ok, felt strong and fast. Kept pace about 6.40ish. Had to work fairly hard on the 2 climbs, but got recovery in on downs and flats.
Energy levels felt fine for 1st 2 hours but after that lost concentration, got cold and pace dropped quickly and lost interest. Got the job done, kept running although I felt I was bonking.
Felt pretty crappy afterwards, feel fine now once I've had a couple of meals.
The hammy and glute were fine during the run, felt a bit sore afterwards, but feel I'm getting stronger
