Steady Run 44:03 [3] 6.06 mi (7:16 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Carbon X

Didn't have much time today with taking Katie to Uni in St Andrews. Fitted in a 45min run before tea. Ran on the road which was pretty hilly. Pace felt fairly hard, had to work up the hills. Was a bit stiff from the long drive. Glute felt much better, was a bit tight

Had a lot on tonight with getting ready to go to Scotland. Managed to motivate myself to go for run around the canal. My L glute and leg haven't felt normal since the weekend. It feels a bit sore, but after the run it felt much better.

Tuesday Sep 3 #

10 AM

Easy run 1:00:06 [2] 7.25 mi (8:17 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Arahi 3

Ran on grass @ gym. Left leg has been a bit sore, ran easy. It felt much better as I got running. Kept pace at about 8.15 pace, no problems afterwards. Had a sauna afterwards and did some strength work.

Duncan worked on left leg, think I'm just a bit sore after the race, no damage

Monday Sep 2 #

Easy run 49:36 [2] 5.37 mi (9:14 / mi)

Left calf was a bit sore: took it really easy, felt much better after a mile. Seeing Duncan in the morning so hopefully he will sort me out!!

Sunday Sep 1 #

9 AM

Race 6:59:13 [3] 50.0 mi (8:23 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Carbon X

about 17 degrees, sunny- perfect conditions. Went off a bit fast again, ran the last 15 miles at more of an effortless pace. Stuck to the nutrition plan, worked ok, felt fine.

Legs felt ok afterwards, had a bit of chaffing on my upper chest: wore a top with a zip- bad idea!!
