SE training 4:58:10 [3] 31.37 mi (9:30 / mi)
shoes: S-Lab 3 ultra

Started of at an easy pace, ran well within my self. Had Torq energy powder and gel every 15-20mins. Ran 5 mile loop: each loop took about 46mins. Energy levels were ok throughout, dipped on the 6th loop: think it was more of a mental thing. Feet were a bit sore, legs felt ok.
Loop 1: 46:46
Loop 2: 45:51
Loop 3: 46:20
Loop 4: 46:58
Loop 5: 47:19
Loop 6: 51:07
Boris is about to announce a month long lockdown! Can't see WW50 going ahead. I want to still run 50miles, thought I would run Macc Forest 5mile loop: run it 10 times! I reckon I could go under 8hours. What do you think?

Steady Run 1:18:16 [3] 11.63 mi (6:44 / mi)
shoes: Kayano 24 reflective

1 mile easy in the way to the track. Thought I would run steady around the 400m track: weather was a bit rubbish: raining and windy. Track was a bit sheltered. Ran 9miles at 6.20 pace, it felt hard, but I was v comfortable. For some unknown reason I got a blister on the side of R foot after 6miles. Ran strides afterwards, although blister was painful. Ran easy home, good session

SE training 4:43:02 [2] 16.0 mi (17:41 / mi) +912m 15:02 / mi
shoes: S-Lab ultra 2nd pair

Was on holiday near Kielder Water. Found a route on OS maps, wanted about 3 hours. Big mistake! First 4-5miles were ok, was going at about 9min/mile pace on good tracks. The track disappeared and I was brought to a rough walk through heather and rough foliage. After a mile I thought should I turn around, but thought there must be a path soon. Kept going and after 2-3 hours, through numerous streams and rivers hit a track again. Got back at 4.50, last 30mins of daylight. The scenery was amazing, much of the run was along the scottish border, but didn't enjoy it one bit: was not prepared at all.
