Strength 1:15:00 intensity: (30:00 @3) + (30:00 @4) + (15:00 @5)

Boot Camp Class. I had to partner with the instructor which was painful since I could not dog it on any of the drills.

Snowshoeing 3:45:00 [3] 8.9 mi (25:17 / mi)

ADK Loj to Avalanche Pass/Lake. Our original goal was Phelps, but the weather dictated that we should probably set a less exposed goal. Once at the lake we thought about continuing a bit further on by going across the lake but the wind was brutal and we headed back. Overall, the trails were in fantastic condition, being well packed down by the skiers. Even the non-skied sections were nice with about 6 inches of powder over a wide packed ride. We passed close to 20 people - which seemed like a lot for a snowy Monday.

Note

Read Mike's log from Saturday and were inspired to skip Mt. Van this year and go for a hike.

RIT Fitness Center - tough getting out of bed this morning since I knew I needed to do something else besides the elliptical. I may have to add swimming to mix things up.

Running 25:55 [3] 3.2 mi (8:06 / mi)

Perinton Park - Turk Hill run in reverse. I just seems easier doing it this direction form the new house. Physically it was not easier, but I don't think that has anything to do with the start location.

Since I wanted to watch the Purdue game and time was limited, I decided to get my run in on the treadmill. Turns out I would have enjoyed myself more running in the strong wind and on ice covered sidewalks.

Elliptical 40:00 [3]

Could not take advantage of the nice weather - but at least did something today. Maybe a run tomorrow....

Running 43:07 intensity: (31:07 @3) + (12:00 @4) 4.4 mi (9:48 / mi)

Around the hood with Kameron. Kept to the streets as that was the only place we didn't need skates. Kept a fairly slow pace with six 2 minute intervals per Kameron's training plan

Running 43:00 [3] 4.5 mi (9:33 / mi)
shoes: PI Synchro Seek Trail

Home to Perinton Rec Center and back via same route. Sandwiched and hour of shoot around with Tyler and one of his friends while at the rec center. Used the towpath (paved sections) in the village and the trolley trail to get there. Snow/ice was soft and not too bad on the way there, but the late afternoon cool down hardened things up and made the trip back pretty treacherous. Although, what do I know, this was the first 'road' run I did all winter.
