Saturday Jul 26

Strength 1:15:00 [3]
class at the rec center

Wednesday Jul 23

Event: ROC - Webster Park

Orienteering 58:30 [3] *** 8 km (7:19 / km)
spiked:14/18c shoes: Mudclaw O+340
ROC - Webster Park Score-O. Upper hamstring (butt?) had been bothering me since my workout class over the weekend and I wanted to take it easy for the sprint, but trying to get them all was just too tempting. Unfortunately my route choice at the start kept me from getting #88 at the end of the hour. I think #81 to #82 to #88 would have been the best start, but I left #88 for the end and just didn't have enough time. Had problems with #94 and #91

Here is my route

Just tried out Quickroute for the first time and it flawlessly imported the GPS data. I had to adjust the route to fit the map a bit more than I would have liked, but overall it is an improvement in the process.

Distance is not straight line
C • 91? 3
Orienteering race 17:58 [4] *** 1.67 km (10:46 / km)
spiked:8/9c shoes: PI - SyncroFloat
ROC Webster Sprint - Crawled at least two times to get through veg. 'Nuff said.

Saturday Jul 19

Strength 1:15:00 [3]
'Boot Camp' Class at the rec center. It was a littel harder than last week....

Monday Jul 14

Biking (Commute) 57:00 [3] 21.9 km (2:36 / km)
Biking (Commute) 51:00 [3] 21.9 km (2:20 / km)
Had a nice wind.....

Sunday Jul 13

Elliptical 45:00 [3]
Had some time available this morning but too much rain for outside activity

Saturday Jul 12

Strength 1:15:00 [4]
"Boot Camp" workout at the rec center (Kameron signed me up). It was a good workout, but probably more upper body work that I would have liked. It was nice to have a class outside and it was not too hot.

Sunday Jul 6

Event: ROC - Black Creek Park

Orienteering race 1:29:30 [4] *** 11.3 km (7:55 / km)
spiked:13/20c shoes: PI Synchro Seek Trail
Black Creek - Score-O - As bad as the vegetation was, I was at least mentally prepared for it. The heat on the other hand did me in. I was not in the best shape after finishing. Managed to grab 18 of the 24 controls, with a large counter clockwise loop from the starting pavilion. I was in the general vicinity of 2 of the 6 controls, but had trouble finding #3 and #9. I came to #3 early on and decided pretty quick to bag it since it was a 1 pointer and I had not really traveled out of my way. I had to give up on #9 since I was just about out of time. The extra two or three points would not have mattered since I was well behind William.

Friday Jul 4

Running 39:50 [3] 7.5 km (5:19 / km)
Out to Center Park via Church St and the trolley trail. Tyler rode along with me. It was nice to have company on the run.

Thursday Jul 3

Biking (Commute) 58:00 [3] 21.7 km (2:40 / km)
shoes: PI Synchro Seek Trail
Dodged the raindrops on the way in - hopefully I will be lucky with the weather on the way home.
Biking (Commute) 53:20 [4] 21.7 km (2:27 / km)
Ride home - no rain but a few distraction due to wet pavement or soft tow path. Was able to trim almost 5 minutes off ride from this morning (same exact route). It is much easier to push hard when I am less concerned about how I appear or feel when I finish the ride.
C • Same EXACT route? 2

Wednesday Jul 2

Elliptical 40:00 [3]
Hoping to get back into the swing of things...
