Orienteering (Course Setting) 1:00:00 [2] 4.0 km (15:00 / km)
shoes: PI Syncro Seek II

Checking control locations at Black Creek. As poor as the entire park is for a regular event the eastern part with the mix of park/field/woods should be a decent sprint venue.

Elliptical 40:00 [3]

trying to break out of the weekend warrior mode I seem to be stuck in.

Running 26:30 [3] 2.9 mi (9:08 / mi)
shoes: NB N-Fuse

Not much of a run - we were interrupted by a stop at the Festival at Perinton Park and then for another several minutes at the lift bridge. However, it was a nice jaunt with Bryn

Orienteering 18:12 [4] *** 2.0 km (9:06 / km)
spiked:10/11c shoes: Mudclaw O+340

ROC Durand Sprint - Fairly challenging course with the hills and the heat - but a good distance course and layout. Unfortunately #9 was not placed well and cost me almost 1:30. Sergey come home with the victory about 1:10 in front of me - so it could have been much closer. (not sure how the misplacement affected him).

It could have been worse - Pete Dady lost about 3-4 min and only found it on his way out of the area after giving up.

Orienteering 59:00 [3] 4.5 mi (13:07 / mi)
spiked:20/20c shoes: Mudclaw O+340

ROC Durand Score-O. 20 of 24 controls

This was punishing. About the only thing I enjoyed was finding a way yo get to the eastern ridge w/o going on the golf course. The southern tip of the swamp was forgiving.

However, the heat was not. At about 40 minutes in, I was walking and trying to decide if I should bag it after 50 minutes or go for another loop of 3 controls. In the end I went for the last 3 and tied the Borden Boys Team for number of controls (although they can in a minute ahead of me).

Running 35:00 [3] 3.5 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: NB N-Fuse

Run with Kameron and Tyler on the bike. Distance a guess

Running 46:00 [3] 4.8 mi (9:35 / mi)
shoes: NB N-Fuse

Run with Kameron while the kids rode bikes. This work-out works quite well logistically. Probably stayed out a bit longer that I would have if running on my own. However, I still have not acclimated to the hot weather.
