Was jolted awake at 5:30 this morning by the sound of hooves thundering past my bedroom window. Mireya had jumped out of her paddock and was beside herself with excitement . I thought she was just being a silly mare but when I was taking her back up I saw what she saw. There was a beautiful roe deer between the trees at the side of the gallop. It stood there watching us for a while and then bounded off. Very cool. Had lots of time to do something this afternoon but my hip was a bit stiff and motivation was low. I figured a rest day would do me no harm so I took a nap instead!
