Tranter Round with Helen

Great day out. Started at 5:57. Most of mamores done in clag. Clear over final mamore and grey corries, then clagged over for the final four big ones. Started raining on CMD arete - about 5pm. Helen's parents met us just after Stob Ban on grey Corries to top up supplies. Felt fine for 8-9 hours then started to tire going up the Aonachs. Knee and Heel on left side were complaining on steep descent off Aonach Mor - loosened off on final descent off the Ben.

Fantastic effort by Helen to set a new female record. The record was not a goal for her as she didn't think she was capable of it, whereas I had a schedule made up for 12.5hrs and was fairly confident we could get round in that time without too much effort - made sure we stuck to schedule without telling Helen. Worth noting that we were slower than all Jasmin's split times for her record Ramsay Round which, if replicated for Tranters, would give a time of close to 11hrs.
