Dunbar 10 mile race - 4th
Decided to enter at last minute. Hip not really up for full on racing yet but thought i'd treat as a tempo training effort. Started out at steady 3:38min/km pace which was about the limit i could do without over-straining. Sat in about 10th place over first 3-4km, then started passing folk on the gradual climb up the hill. Was surprised to catch Callum Reid around 5-6km to move into 4th - he was having a bad day. Could see Dave Wright and Murray in the distance ahead but they continued to pull away. I resisted urge to push harder and break myself in the process to try and catch. Nice head wind for much of the way. Felt ok at the end - hip was a bit tired and would not have managed much more but don't think it's done any harm.
