Trail Run 2:02:00 [1] 10.85 mi (11:15 / mi)
ahr:128 max:157

I think a break from Bobcat Ridge was in order, and the only other free options really are Devils Backbone and Coyote Ridge, neither are that appealing, particularly because of the hoards of people that would be there. So I decided to drop $120 and get a Larimer County parks pass to open up many new "free" options. Decided to try a new place, Pinewood Reservoir. Started running at 8am, few people out, but it got busier, but not bad. Ran everything twice, the Shoshone trail has got some good climb. Didn't feel overly fast, but it was a good run. After the first lap around the lake I returned to the car to drop the arm warmers and put on sun screen. A bald eagle was hanging out on a swampy area about 100 m from me. I got a couple pics, but just as I was going to get another pic with more zoom, it flew off as a car pulled into the parking lot, clearly spooked by the car. Ironically, the car that pulled into the parking lot was a couple of birders.
