Geologic fieldwork at Lory - in and around Well Gulch. I could almost call it orienteering, I had a map and airphoto with with locations marked that I had to find and check out. I knew that half of them were on some very steep slopes up high, but I went to them just the same. A quick look at the GPS log revealed that I pretty much nailed all the locations. Given the steep slopes, quite a challenging day, and it got really hot at the end. It was over 90F, by how much I don't know. Fortunately at least a gentle breeze was common. I was out there well over 6 hours, but my average moving pace was about 22min/miles, so I estimated workout duration on that.
