Regular red course at Buena Vista. This area may have become my most favorite place to orienteer. Ran very cleanly (except for the couple 20m bobbles). My Achilles was an issue and I couldn't run top speed on roads, but off road the fastest I could run was as fast as I would have run in most spots. Like the night-o the day before, the elevation (9000') was obvious but managed only to walk on a few big ups at the very end. Results:

Night O at Buena Vista, very sloppy on 2, 3, and 4, but made no mistakes the rest of the weekend. My Achilles wasn't much of an issue but afterwards I knew it would hurt the next day. Very enjoyable course, very nice weather, and despite the issues in the beginning, very pleased with result:

running club, started out with 3x1:30, was doing about 80sec/400. my left Achilles had been tight and soar on Sunday but felt fine on Tuesday, but with each interval it was not doing well and I was favoring the right leg considerably on the last one. During the 12 min run it was clear after 200m that running hard was not good for it, jogged the rest and called it a day. I won't run for a few days and it should be good for the O's this weekend.
as usual, got a *&%$ thorn in my tire, had to walk home from jaque-jones. Until I moved to Greeley I could only remember getting one flat from glass in all those years of riding. I've been here a year and a half and had like 5 flats, all but one from those thorns.
