Trail Run 40:00 [1] 3.16 mi (12:39 / mi)

warmupcooldown

Orienteering 58:08 [3] 5.26 mi (11:03 / mi)

O-race at Kelly Dahl. 7.4 km straight line. The maps is difficult, lots of featureless slopes requiring lots of bearings. Looking at the GPS track, I was fairly poor with my direction and route choice in a number of locations. However, because of the lack of features, I was hanging on for dear life in a lots of spots. Lost a fair amount of time at #2 as I ran past it twice pretty much and didn't see it. The good news is that I didn't get frazzled as I knew that on such a course, event the Viking would loose time somewhere too. #9 I lost time as there was nothing to navigate with, route choice sucked to #13, was quite careful to #16, got pushed west leaving #17 and bounced off the fence, later on that leg got wrapped up in downed barbed wire and had to stop (lucky no skin was broken) - this broke my concentration and I wandered aimlessly a bit to find #18. Leaving #18 was not much better and lost contact with the map and just kept the bearing which saved me. Given I was close to near disaster so many times, should be happy I made it through fairly unscathed and somehow bettered the Viking. LA put up a tough fight, but my foot speed from the half way point on saved me there.

Road Run 30:00 [1] 3.21 mi (9:21 / mi)

Cool and rainy suggesting that running only feasible outdoor training technique. Couple of laps around Glenmere. A bit sore and stiff from yesterday.

Exer-Genie 30:00 [2]

Finished W30k Vancouver. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7lbs again. I think I'm getting stronger.

warmupcooldown

Trail Run 22:00 [4] 3.87 mi (5:41 / mi)

Running club. It gets dark early now, cool down was in the dark, but it was nice to watch the full moon just begin to rise during it. Fairly warm in the 70s. 7, 4, 7, 4 min. Paces were 5:51, 34, 46, 32, so a pretty solid workout but not blazing. No real injury problems.
