Running club. Slept very poorly the night before, as such, I felt very tired and lethargic, and had little motivation to run very hard. It was a different workout than of the type we typically do. Start the same place but we went up to the "upper loop" and did that clockwise and then came back down. This made the first half a steady little climb and a bit difficult such that max HR's were hit at the top. I did reasonably well, but would have like to feel better to try to give two high schoolers who showed up a bit more competition. As it was, I was no challenge to them, but they have a lot to learn: know where to run during the interval so you don't cut people off (like me); running side by side is just harder for everyone on narrow, twisty trails; snakes and dogs are things not to freak out about during an interval (or usually at anytime). Paces were 6:22, 09, 03, 00.
