Its been a long time, but I've finally returned to Devils Backbone and did the run to the tree. There's a whole new loop through the hummocky mine workings for runners, horses, and bikes (not hikers). It was interesting to see that area and it gives a lot more trail options close to the parking lot. Pushed reasonably hard, but it is challenging, rocky trail in many spots, so tough to go fast.

Running club. Another strong hard workout. 8, 6, 4, 3, 2min. Paces were 5:54, 45, 26, 21, 01. With the last one nearly at 5min/mile pace, I think I might beable to break 5 in a 1mile TT right now. Which is a good feeling. Hopefully my Achilles continue to be only a minor annoyance.
