Ski-O 1:32:24 [3] 10.81 mi (8:33 / mi)

Ski-O at Devil's Thumb. Decided to classic for a change of pace. Warm, windy, lucky my kick somewhat worked until the last bit. Snow was transitioning powder with lots of drifts, so generally glide wasn't the best and kick was iffy. Got all 20, only mess up was a stupid parallel error right at the end, probably lost 4min. Fun day.

At the Jack. It was mid-teens F and ice fog. The conditions weren't that great, tracks had not been set in some time so they were totally skied out and full of tree litter, so I mostly staying the skate lane, which makes it tough to actually stride. On Moose hill, a moose, fittingly, had put some big pits into the tracks too. Saw Swampfox stopped on Summit talking to someone, just said hi and kept going. Also saw a dead squirrel on the campground hill. Looks like it just died in the tree above and fell out. I think it must have been high winds in the last day or so, evidence of fresh snow dunes in the parking lot and at the top of campground hill.
