Road Bike 2:53:00 [1] 48.97 mi (3:32 / mi)
ahr:122

Rode the whole Poudre trail from the house, first time for that. It went well and I didn't start to feel tired until the last half hour. Average speed of 17 mph, not bad given how many times you have to slow down to pass people, cross roads, or go around a tight turn. Nice overcast day, so perfect weather. Couldn't go to the end parking lot because the bridge right before it was gated due to construction.

Note

I'm not sure what I'm doing this year, but I'm at 187 hours already, that's on course for 500 hours. I never kept good logs in college, but that's probably what I was doing in college (never have come close to that since college either). I know once school starts I won't keep it up. But I also don't feel as if I'm really training that much. 9 hours this week, not bad for two days off this week. But all the workouts, except today, was a piece of cake really. Every week is pretty much like that. Hopefully it means faster skiing when the snow flies? Once school starts I do plan to exchange some of the hours for more arm strength (I hope...).

Note

The google gave me the wrong day of the year, I'm on track for 310 hours of training, which is pretty typical. In fact, it suggests I should increase a bit...

Roller Ski Poles Only 1:31:00 [1] 12.4 mi (7:20 / mi)
ahr:123

At J-Jones neighborhood. JUST managed to fit in the workout between thunderstorms. Heard the last boom of one just as I started, hear the first boom of the next one just as I got to the car at the end. Pretty much all DP, did KDP to get up the hills. Achilles didn't let me get a full kick on the right side, but it is getting better. Likely won't run again until running club, and will likely take that easy, much to the chagrin of Doug probably...

Cyclo-X 1:39:00 [1] 26.55 mi (3:44 / mi)

Wanted to get a bit of longer ride in. 14th to Poudre, Learning Center, to 95th to 20th, J-Jones neighborhood, back on rt 34 trail. Managed to ride around a storm, which was good.

Note

Achilles was pretty sore, decided to rest it (also I was being lazy, and I was a bit grumpy)...

Trail Run 25:00 [4] 4.41 mi (5:40 / mi)

Running club. 7, 6, 5, 4, 3min, with 3 min rest. Ran hard, perhaps too hard as on the 3min one my right Achilles was not so happy. Nice weather though, scattered rain and cooler. Paces were 5:51, 41, 36, 34, 25. These paces were pretty quick, but for some reason the usual suspects (minus the Highschooler, but plus a new guy, who I suspect will be smoking me once he's in better shape) seemed to be right on my butt in each one. They clearly are getting in better shape.

Had to go to Loveland so brought the bike. Parked that the backbone, out past Green Ridge Reservoir, along Buckhorn Ck Rd, out and back on Glade Rd and back.
