Note

Well, my two good bikes are gone. I'm not optimistic that I'll get them back. The garage door was open and I saw the perp walking down the drive through the back garage window. I ran out, he was in his truck at this point, I put my hands on his hood and he tapped the gas and the truck lurched forward pushing me back. At that point I figured it wasn't worth getting run over and got out of the way (why he didn't throw it in reverse is beyond me, I instantly saw that option as the weak link in my plan...). Ran in and called the cops. The cop said its probably 3 felonies and a detective is being assigned to the case (but somehow I doubt its going to be a high priority for the detective). The cop was just getting into cycling and I think he wanted to see pictures both for the case and he was just interested in the bikes. By the evening, despite having an address and license plate w/ description, the vehicle had not been located (it was put on all the "watch lists"). I'm trying to focus on the face that bikes, no matter how nice they were, can be replaced, and more importantly, I wasn't hurt. Besides, they weren't that nice, I just liked them a lot. This is an opportunity to get better bikes, but my wallet is going to take a hit if I stick to the upgrade route. I'm pretty sure I'll do that, its only money. I still have the mt. bike and the commuter, so mt. biking is still a training option for the time being.

warmupcooldown, for some reason I got there late, so it was really just all cooldown.

Trail Run 16:00 [4] 2.91 mi (5:30 / mi)
ahr:167 max:186

Relays at Running club. First set was 3x1000m, times were 3:37, 35, 33, which was paces of 5:44, 39, 35. My team crushed, I'm pretty sure I've yet to be out of the top 3 in relays in all these years. Doug gets frustrated when a team dominates, so he changed the team up a bit AND gave my team a 20 second deficit. I thought he was kidding, but he called me back after I started. Second set was 2x800m, times were 2:41, 40, with paces of 5:20, 21. Team got second by 5 sec. The new guy didn't have a team so he ran a few with me, not sure why he didn't have a team.
