Trail Run 1:36:00 [1] 9.15 mi (10:30 / mi)
ahr:130

Bobcat ridge, out to the cabin, DR trail, Power Line, west side of Valley Loop trail. Its been quite a while since I've been to the cabin, it's now done up as a real cabin (doors, windows, nick-nacks) - no more magpies hanging out in the rafter as it is enclosed with wainscoting. Its been even longer since I've run the DR trail, its really nice and maybe my favorite. Felt good despite long workout yesterday, but my left Achilles felt a big tight at times. On the warm side but not too bad.

Road Bike 1:41:00 [3] 16.61 mi (6:05 / mi)
ahr:154 max:173

As it was VdM day, I had plenty of time to train in the Boulder area. Did the full Left Hand canyon ride. ~3700' of climb. It was pretty hard, stopped at rt. 72. I passed one, but was passed by a number of people who didn't even look like they were going hard. Stopped for a pit stop where 6 mile canyon joins, so with out that it would be a few minutes quicker.

Road Bike 46:00 [1] 16.93 mi (2:43 / mi)
ahr:97

Ride back down. Bike is pretty twitchy as it is a bonafide race bike. This is also the first big decent with it. I sucked and was passed by a bunch of people, all going like 40-50 mph. I got nervous at around 25 mph. Towards the bottom a stereotypical 50-60 year old Boulder women passed me and I was able to use her as a pacer and things went better. HR suggests I shouldn't log, but it was part of the ride, so in it goes. Saw on the way down what looked like a bunch of top high school skiers mostly skating up. Training in the Boulder area always makes me feel inadequate.

Trail Run 58:00 [1] 4.59 mi (12:38 / mi)
ahr:135 max:161

Then went to Joder trail head and ran 6 mile fold and the Joder road to Buckingham park and back, but didn't go all the way to the end of the trail as I was pretty tired.

Trail Run 24:00 [4] 4.16 mi (5:46 / mi)

Running club. Nice(r) weather, temps in 80s, but still felt warm between intervals. Another poor showing for the group, not sure where everybody is. 2, 4, 6, 6, 4, 2min with 2min rest (I think). Paces were 5:48, 59, 51, 47, 48, 20(? watch/user malfunction). I'm pretty sure this was a good workout, paces better than usual and HR was not that high on average, so I think the weather helped in multiple ways.
Note, this workout was faster than an identical one early in the summer of '17, so that's good to see as I felt that workout was decent then.
