Skate Ski 1:33:00 [1] 8.81 mi (10:33 / mi)

Skied at the Jack, they got a number of inches overnight. Randy was just starting to groom as I got there. Definitely skiable, but trails are uneven, lots of brush sticking up through the snow, and a few rocks/roots here and there. But a reasonable start to the ski season. Back and legs got tired after an hour, elevation certainly hit me. HRM didn't work the best, it was in the 140s, sometimes 150s when working. I think the heavier gloves I have mess with it.

Trail Run 30:00 [1] 2.11 mi (14:13 / mi)
ahr:125

Short run in the snow after the ski. Manage to get all my goals this week, 14 hours of training and 300 hours for the year thus far.

Mt. Bike 1:43:00 [1] 18.55 mi (5:33 / mi)

Rt. 34 trail with excursions to Homestead and J-Jones. 40s F and windy. I way overdressed, which is a first for winter riding. Much rather be too warm and even a slight bit cold. Legs ached a bit at the end. HRM on fritz again.

Exer-Genie 20:00 [1]

Watched a summary of the 2014 Birkie. WC skiing has started, but races not posted yet.

Rollerboard 5:00 [2]

Somehow made it through 5x1min.

Hike w/ poles 1:06:00 [1] 4.42 mi (14:56 / mi)

At Lory, time was pro rated. Thinking some more about the possibility of putting together a new O-map here.

Road Run 33:00 [1] 3.27 mi (10:05 / mi)
ahr:129

Short run around campus.

Finished up the Lahti sprints, now the world cup must start as I have nothing to watch during indoor workouts.

Roller Ski Classic 2:20:00 [1] 19.36 mi (7:14 / mi)

Four laps around the loop for about 31km. Lap times were 34:41, 34:42, 36:13, 34:21. I bonked on the 3rd lap, stopped at the house had some HEED and a Cliff bar, and 10 min later I started to cruise again, posting the fastest lap on the last one even after dragging on the first part of that lap. This highlights the importance of calories. HRM was all over the place, it was a level 1 workout for sure.

Road Run 1:00:00 [1] 6.61 mi (9:05 / mi)
ahr:129

The running group kids, plus a few others (Doug obviously), were going to run the T-trot course today as a preview for tomorrow. I decided to join them as I had a lot of training to do today. I broke Doug's heart like I always do when I said I wouldn't be racing tomorrow. Knee is not well enough to race. Besides, if I did race, I'd only get 1.5 hours of training in for the two days. That's not going to cut it when I need to do ~2 hours per day this week. Knee bugged me a little, so no running tomorrow. Actually had a conversation with the Highschooler, who's running in the 15's now for 5 km, he said he only had an "all right" XC season. He's only 16, so I think his expectation are a little high. I think his English has improved a lot, maybe why he's more chatty.

Mt. Bike 51:00 [1] 10.07 mi (5:04 / mi)

Made sure the roller ski course is free of ice/snow all the way around. The couple of patches there shouldn't be a problem. Then did more around Reservoir Rd, then to KS for a couple of things. HRM not reading right, I'm sure the average was in the 120s.

Rollerboard 4:00 [2]

4x1min with 1 rest. Having a watch that beeps now is a huge benefit for this workout.
