Roller ski skate 1:01:00 [1] 10.72 mi (5:41 / mi)
ahr:117

Skied west from Redbarn. After 19min, left pole tip gave out because the carbide tip broke, somewhat surprisingly. Luckily I brought the other pair of poles, so legs only back to car, then more skiing with poles. Tired from yesterday.

Road Bike 1:38:25 [3] 16.51 mi (5:58 / mi)
ahr:159 max:175

Threshold effort test ride up Left Hand Canyon to route 72. It went well, was about 2.5 minutes faster than last year. Passed by one guy, but I caught him crawling through Ward.

Road Bike 39:21 [1] 16.97 mi (2:19 / mi)
ahr:97

The decent back to the car. I was much more comfortable on the decent than last year and went faster for sure. There are a lot of unreal decenters out there, doing easily 50mph. I averaged almost 26 mph, with a max of close to 33 mph. I'd say this is respectable, at least for my abilities. Yes, the decent effort officially shouldn't be logged given how untaxing it is, but its part of the ride.

Trail Run 1:19:00 [2] 8.37 mi (9:26 / mi)
ahr:144

As I was stuck in the hive for a few more hours because of VdM, I figured I'd really tax myself and go for a run. Rock Island 1, where I typically like to park, is the start of a long section of where they are blasting out the canyon, so no parking. Luckily I managed to find a parking spot at the canyon mouth at Settler's Park. Ran up the canyon trail and then up Fourmile Canyon. That road is not good for running, there's no shoulder so I had to hop into the tall grass/ditch a few times when a car came the other way. But I did manage to find a replacement outcrop for the Boulder Canyon outcrop I can't use now. Lots of road on this run, but I wore my trail runners. Felt quite good given the effort I gave just a few hours before. I think my fitness is good, but can I maintain it as it all goes to heck starting Monday?

Roller ski skate 1:00:00 [1] 10.16 mi (5:54 / mi)
ahr:117

Yesterday was much harder on me than I initially thought, likely didn't rehydrate enough despite my best efforts. Very tired on the ski, went west from Redbarn. Start to feel a bit better towards end.

Running club. Was a bit weary from the fieldwork today, so didn't have any pop in the legs. It was on the hot side too, which didn't help. Faded on the last two, but not too much and managed an OK workout. 6x4min, upper loop, paces were 6:20, 12, 23, 23.
