White Ranch, red course, 6.1 km straight line. I purposely took it easy as my fitness is not the best and White Ranch is very challenging physically and navigation wise. Was very easy off the start, got a bit goofed by the new trail, but got on track and didn't really have any problems for most controls, I generally always took the safe route and/or less physically challenging route choices. Some things that I could have done better includes heading too far down hill to get to the trail going to 11, but the GPS shows that the trail is in the wrong place. At 12, I was at the right spot, but I didn't check the control clue closely enough and went to check some other rocks before returning to the right rocks. Going to 16, spend just a little bit of time at the wrong rocks. Other than that, I didn't die, I didn't go that slow, so I think it was a good run given where I am with fitness and not having done much orienteering this summer.
