Sunday Sep 20 #

Road Run 22:00 [1] 2.04 mi (10:47 / mi)
ahr:113

Quick run over to campus to drop off some supplies.

Trail Run 1:51:00 [1] 11.32 mi (9:48 / mi)
ahr:129

Then I drove to PLC, ran all the usual there and out to east trail and back. Felt sluggish the whole time, but I got through it.

Saturday Sep 19 #

Roller Ski Classic 1:58:00 [1] 18.26 mi (6:28 / mi)
ahr:133

Is there football again? The bike trail was unusually barren, but I'm not complaining. Wanted to do a long ski, and it went pretty well. Parked at Funplex, out to fishing ponds, to the east trail, then all of Sheeps draw, added some in the 'burbs at the end of Sheeps draw to try to get to 2 hours. Started to bonk at 1:45. Chest muscle was no real concern.

Friday Sep 18 #

Road Bike 1:03:00 [1] 16.21 mi (3:53 / mi)
ahr:118

Down to Island Grove, then back the new way. Added a bit at the end to get a bit over an hour.

Thursday Sep 17 #

Hike 2:15:00 [1] 7.03 mi (19:12 / mi)
ahr:101

Hollowell Park to Cub Lake and back. Perfect day and the trail was excellent. Cub lake area had been burned since I was last there 10 years ago. I need to come back and run the trail, its perfect for that. I was sluggish at the beginning as I was tired from yesterday and didn't hydrate enough. Tendonitis in my left knee was not good and made uphills less fun. 2:33 total hiking, pro rated to 115 AHR.

Wednesday Sep 16 #

Trail Run 47:00 [1] 4.53 mi (10:23 / mi)
ahr:126

warmupcooldown

Trail Run 30:09 [4] 4.88 mi (6:11 / mi)
ahr:173 max:185

Intervals at the east trail as usual. Decided to do something different, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and then 1.88 miles. The last was the entire east trail and ditch path, in that order. I started out a bit too easy, but the last one was very hard. I decided not to do anymore as some little pains started to appear, and on the cool down my left calf twice almost cramped on me. Paces were 6:13, 16, 09, 08. There's finally a coolness in the air that felt fall-like.

Tuesday Sep 15 #

Roller Ski Classic 1:00:00 [2] 9.2 mi (6:31 / mi)
ahr:144

Decided to test out the chest muscle problem again, I think its good enough for roller skiing. Did a lot of DP w/ kick, particularly on the way out, more DP on the way back. chest held up fine. Went west from PLC.
