Sunday Oct 11 #

Cyclo-X 1:03:00 [1] 13.64 mi (4:37 / mi)
ahr:120

Out to, and around, the J-Jones neighborhood and back. A front came in and dropped the temp and blew grit into every head hole. Windy even before the front came through.

Road Run 1:04:00 [1] 6.58 mi (9:44 / mi)
ahr:128

After the wind started to die down, headed out for a looping run around campus. Felt pretty tired and there wasn't much energy in the legs. Managed to get through it.

Saturday Oct 10 #

Roller Ski Classic 2:00:00 [1] 18.46 mi (6:30 / mi)
ahr:136

From PLC out to Kodak and back, plus an extra 35 minutes or so from doubling back. Felt good and the pace was good too.

Friday Oct 9 #

Roller Ski Classic 1:06:00 [1] 10.04 mi (6:34 / mi)
ahr:140

Yesterday I was too exhausted to workout. But I slept well and felt good today. So a roller ski at the funplex it was. Air was good after not being so good in the morning. Pushed the up hills here and there.

Wednesday Oct 7 #

Trail Run 45:00 [1] 4.34 mi (10:22 / mi)
ahr:123

warmupcooldown

Trail Run 36:58 [4] 6.01 mi (6:09 / mi)
ahr:171 max:183

Intervals at the east trail and ditch road of course. Decided on longer intervals with shortish rest, estimated at 1.5 minutes. I certainly didn't want to feel "ready to go" when I started. Hopefully this is working my way up to maintaining fast pace for race distances, for hypothetical races at any rate. It was a good workout, as usual, I started out a bit too slow on the first, but the rest were good, with the last being quite good. 4x1.5 miles, paces were 6:15, 12, 10, 00. It got dark for the cool down.

Tuesday Oct 6 #

Road Run 33:00 [1] 3.38 mi (9:46 / mi)
ahr:116

I was exhausted all day, didn't sleep the best. So I just managed to drag myself out for a short neighborhood run.

Monday Oct 5 #

Hike 35:00 [1] 2.71 mi (12:55 / mi)
ahr:84

Hike around neighborhood, prorated to 120 AHR. Lots of new pavement, might have to try roller skiing on some of it. Went along the new trail through the "bird sanctuary," or more accurate, a strip of trees along a small stream with is entirely filled with runoff from people over watering their lawns, and for some reason, contrary to all other trees anywhere in a urban/suburban landscape in the Front Range, these have not been cut down. Anyway, I'm sure the new trail is just the first step to leveling the trees in the area.
