Probably time to get caught up with AP... I need to start ramping up the training, I've been letting work take up too much time. Decided to ride, with temps in the 40s and using the mt. bike (slower speeds), it shouldn't be bad. One important discovery is that that the Rossi ski boot covers I won for age group at the stage coach classic a few years back work perfectly for cycling shoes as well. Given the feet are usually the biggest problem with winter cycling, this was a big improvement. In the end, I was slightly over dressed, but better that than the other way. Went down to Island Grove, out to the new trail, hitting the east trail on the way out and back. Just one short lap at the new trail because some idiot family had two dogs off leash that just chased me, make the mother quite pissed - as if her family is the only one's entitled to use that trail... Then back up to the Funplex, then through J-Jones and back on rt. 34. Legs started to tire at end.
