Road Bike 2:18:00 [1] 34.59 mi (3:59 / mi)
ahr:114

Nice day and managed a long ride, longer than I had planned by 18 min., but I got through it. Rt 34 trail, Sheeps draw, Poudre to Kodak, back via the new way. I was certainly tired, it was difficult to get the HR up, hence its a bit below my target average of 120. Heel was really bugging me when walking, riding it wasn't too bad, ached a bit. I think I'll take tomorrow off and hope the heel is ready for an easy run on Wednesday.

Trail Run 15:00 [1] 1.31 mi (11:27 / mi)

warmup

Orienteering 46:54 [4] 4.99 mi (9:24 / mi)
ahr:180 max:188

Bear Creek Lake, red course 7.2 km straight line. About 2.5 minutes of stand around time. It was pretty good run, but a couple of controls I lost time trying to figure out the exact location when I got close. About half way through the blisters I got on the run last week start to bug me, but I managed to ignore them reasonably well. The heel/Achilles was pretty good, as good as its been all week probably. The biggest issue was probably the heat, my HR was in the 180s any time I was running, and I wasn't really going that fast. I definitely slowed towards the end and I had difficulty concentrating trying to find 17 and 18. No big mistakes was key and I managed that.

Road Bike 1:03:00 [1] 16.46 mi (3:50 / mi)
ahr:127 max:165

Down to Island Grove, Poudre trail to Sheeps Draw, F street, back the new way. Perfect temperature, about 70F on average. Stiff wind from the west. When I got onto F street I decided to do an interval with the tail wind. Took about 4 minutes to reach the new bike trail, averaged over 25 mph, HR in the 160s. Achilles didn't feel the best today, but its been worse, so maybe that's progress? It felt great yesterday, hence why I went running. Running two days a week is better than 1 or 0 days a week.

Trail Run 59:00 [1] 5.66 mi (10:25 / mi)

PLC and the new trail, car said it was 90F when I started, but I didn't think that was accurate, but checking the temperature record at the airport confirmed that 90F was accurate. It didn't feel that hot, but its super dry, humidity below 10% at the peak temperature.
