usual peter murrell. an effort to get out there in the cold windy conditions so good on me for that. also finally installed cheapo bicycle computer and measured the loop - 17k.

kayaking 55:00 [3]

Paddle Group. Moderate pace down to taroona then 2 efforts back, first to prossers, then 2nd back to DSS. By the middle of the 2nd I was buggered and it was choppy and I was sure I had dropped off the back of my little race group (hardly anyone had lights so it was hard to tell where anyone was). But when I got back 3 of the other 4 people in my group paddled in behind me so that was cool..

Also, as I approached the DSS a round mooring buoy popped out of the water right in front of me.. then it breathed a big snorkelly breath and dived under the water with a splash and disappeared completely. After asking if anyone else saw it, it turned out they had seen a seal in the area when we started out, so that's what it must have been.
