Orienteering race 21:00 [3]

Tas sprint race - race 1.
This race was a mass start and we were only racing for start times in race two - so I took it easy and cruised around - no mistakes.

Well. one mistake- I walked past a dog tied up outside a toilet block on my way to start (about 2 minutes before start actually) and got bitten firmly on the butt. It felt like I'd sat on a barb wire fence and I now have two puncture marks surrounded by bruises about 8cm apart - dog obviously got a big mouthful and clamped jaws shut. humph.

Orienteering race 21:00 [3]

Sprint Champs final.
Ran ok but had a messy run navigation wise, mainly because I got distracted by other people - probably lost 2-3 minutes which was dumb and would have wiped me out on any other year.

but this year it was good enough to reclaim my w21 title (for forth time) - in fact I recon I had about 10 minutes to spare as there were only 2 of us and Sonia had a sore back so she couldn't run. Not sure why the juniors don't all run in w21 - you get your name on a big shield if you win! Anna dowling wasn't there either- she normally runs up for this event.
