Running 37:00 [3]

Stumbled to the finish line of the 28 day plan with a run from kingston beach, up up to some sort of lookout thing near the alum cliffs track, then back home. A lady with yellow/orange bouffant hair, matching tracksuit bottoms and top, with a tiny dog came out of a gate just as I was running past and I only just managed to shake her going up the hill towards my place. sigh.

1.2km. lane cove pool. got hungry so i got out and dried myself with my sweat soaked running shorts. lovely.

2 days until the end of my 28 day plan. There's a box of posh chocolates Jonno bought for me a few weeks ago just waiting for my attention. So far I haven't deviated from the plan so I'm sure I'll weigh like 49kg when I step on the scales on Thursday - funny how my clothes must be shrinking at the same rate though - I guess that's big W quality for you..

mountain run with Shirley-Anne. it was HOT. like singlet hot. like warm pockets of air watch out for snakes hot. lovely. 20:41 to springs - took it easy down the hill as was slippery after last night's storm.

nature reserve. respectable time given i felt a bit stiff and slow to begin with. had to keep the pace up as the babysitter had an appointment.

Basketball race 35:00 [3]

bball game. lost against a team with a couple of players who are better than any i have ever played against in my long and decidedly average career. They are both about 3 leagues above my level. I was still happy with my game (finally) - shot 2/4 from the charity and had some successful drives.

8:30pm. I was starving and the sun was setting. I feel good now but there's no way i would have run if it wasnt for my 28 day plan and the rest day yesterday.. Came home to a delicious dinner of sweet corn and salad which we ate out on the balcony. very nice except for our white trash neighbours in their garden below...

From fortesce bay I headed north past canoe bay -track was way nicer to run o n - sandy & soft - nothing too steep. rolled ankle on way back though so will have to rest it for at least a day.,

Running on Cape Huay Track. It's probably better left as a bushwalk cos the first 20 minutes at least is steepish and rocky. I think when you go for a solo run just as your fellow campers are getting out the pre-dinner apertifs, you should be allowed to log double time.

run on mountain with susannah. Just did the bit from ferntree to sphinx rock and backto springs. it was short but did include 20 mintues of climb. 20:11 actually even though i took it really easy.

was in running gear from 7:15 am but didn't get out to run until 3pm. As such my enthusiasm had waned and I wasn't running where i had planned to. blah. new shoes though - very comfy for the first 15 minutes anyway.

inspired by jonno's 6hr tahune moutain bike marathon today I hopped on my bike and went all the way down to kingston beach and back. and it took me nearly 40 minutes. I won't embarrass myself further by mentioning the distance but lets just say that from our house I can see the waves breaking on the beach.

From springs to pinnicle with miriam. back down the zig zag track. really worked up a sweat on teh way up and ground my knee joints on the way down.

Right - i did practise bball with denny today - and I DID get sweaty and puffed. and we did practise until we looked up and saw the creche lady motioning for us to come and pick up our annoying kids cos all the other ones had gone home. HOwever I have to admit i wasn't planning on posting it as trainign cos i was going to run for 20 iminutes thisarvo. but the babysitting fell through and it didn't happen. so here i am posting this quite lamo excuse for training.

1.3km - arms a bit tired from yesterday and morning bball practise.

Basketball game. astute observers might notice that a regular bball game is only 40 minutes and I've put down 60 but I also did 40 minutes of bball practise this morning and worked up a sweat. My intense shooting practise stood me in good stead for the nights loss as I scored 0 from 5 from the floor. (crapola)

Note

Today marks the start of my '28 days' training plan. The plan is to not take more than one day off in a row (as it seems to lead to more like 5 days off) and to not eat junk food except for hot chocolates. I was going to throw in an eat-a-piece-of-fruit-a-day rule ( a la jase), but that's probably taking it a bit tooooo far!
