Training Log Archive: Cakewoman

I always forget how tough it is to run to the Mt Nelson Signal Station. Really glad I did it as rest of the day was spent faffing around not attending to other projects.

waterworks loop. felt ok for the first time in ages. probably wasn't supersonically slow.

Hmm... I never thought I'd be adding YOGA to my activity list!!

Went along under semi-duress as Paul's Partner Dani is setting up a studio in kingston and she needed a few rent-a-crowd bodies.

It was 'yin' so mostly long poses and snoozing. very relaxing, I might go again.

from north south, to tolosa, to mum and dads. fun fun! very dry all the way - dusty at tolosa st

blob-a-jog wth clare on the mountain - milles track then to sphinx rock. Clare also ran up from Fern Tree. I did not.

super fun orienteering around the Fahan campus

little bit cold for the first part <10, but as soon as I hit taroona it seemed strangely warm and I had a light northerly headwind.
felt a little weary.

last time we ran here was when her lung spontaneously collapsed (at least according to the official defence of her doctor who could not recall clare's complaints about her lung/chest on the TWO visits she'd previously made, resulting in her almost exploding mid air sydney to LA. Well she would have if she hadn't felt so bad that she cancelled the flight the night before.

not too much headwind tonight so an ok ride home. lights on all the way now.

two runs in a row! waterworks - started down at romilly street which was a nice change.

orienteering at rokeby in the bush behind the houses - so it was filled with burn out cars, rubbish, glass, everything. someone even found a shanty.

courses were steep and much too long.

morning commute, plus 10 minutes in the afternoon to the casino for a lift home wiht Jon.

strange warm headwind. ok ride though.

commute home. tailwind!

had a headwind, and a slight altercation with a very angry cyclist. If it was in fact me she was swearing at. I'm not sure - I committed no crime. Either way she was very angry - I'd hate to be one of her office-mates!

blerk. it's nice we've got a new bike lane going up towards the bonnet, but it still didn't make it any easier.

so warm! but had to relent and put the front lights on the bike for the first 10 minutes of riding..
