no subs but not excactly pushed during these games. no foul shots due to refs apparently made of wax and unable to blow whistle. maybe scored 8 points - team lost by 15

St Helens - northern Classic. v tough terrain. brain faded from 5th control onwards. 7.9km 220m course.

Loop on Mountain starting from ferntree. lovely weather, amazing views. Didn't want to get out there but enjoyed it once I got going. .. pity about the hills...

Sprint race #1. Despite being a 'sprint' had to walk up a hill - doh! felt good apart from that. though get feeling might be getting a bit tired overall..

Allum Cliffs Run - 55mins - finally made it to official turn-around point. very up & down. Legs felt good.

Running intervals 45:45 [2]

10 warm up then 4 x ( long loop, 1 min rest, short loop, 2 mins rest. )
20 situps in 2 mins rest periods. felt hard, first set flat then got better (shouldda warmed up bit more probably but whatever)

Swimming intervals 30:30 [2]

1.3kms. 500 warm up then 5 x 100 - easy out, fast back. repeated on each 2 mins.

1.2kms swimming. I'm only doing it for the pool creche and subsequently the opportunity of 15 minutes uninterupted paper reading and coke drinking at the end.

Running 40:00 [3]

nighttime road shuffle from sandy bay. Wore NEW Nike training tights (reduced from $80 to $30) and BARGAIN new shoes ($200 -> $50) - Going by Miss Jones's theory these should get me a nice 10k time should I choose to face up to one.

Anyway.. kept it pretty flat as a bit concerned about tender achillies which gets a workout on my mountain runs.
