Swimming 30:00 [3]

1.5kms - turns out pool creche is open again - yay. this time i just went with denny though

Running 38:00 [3]

Summer Series. legs felt like lead and my achillies ached. no particular reason for either of those ailments. i'm sure they are just psychothingumy. must remember to not ever do nothing for 2 days in a row cos it makes doing anything after that exponentially harder. (mentally)
did medium course. started 8 minutes after denny but was too scared to run straight past her when i got close so took a wide route choice instead.
worked out ok.

Running 44:53 [3]

Nature Reserve with Jase. Miserable weather so we were pretty tough getting out there actually

Running 49:20 [3]

Alum Cliffs, dragged Jase along with me (ho ho).. His reaction to the 'pinches' made me feel good about my slightly improved performance since we moved here...

Orienteering 33:00 [3]

Look - 3 runs in a row. must be time for a 10 day layoff.

Running 47:00 [3]

Nature reserve. still pretty tired from yesterdays massive 51 minute run. had radio, batteries & headphones functioning simultaneously which was a nice change.

kayaking 55:00 [3]

ARrived a few minutes ahead of a school holiday group which meant that firstly I didn't have to wait for them all to learn how to put a life jacket on, and secondly they had to lend me their nicer boat and paddle as all the regular stuff was going out with the schoolkids. Water as flat as a mirror allowing me perfect views of the giant kayak eating jellyfish.

Running 51:15 [3]

Middle length loop at waterworks - pretty much from carpark up to halls saddle and back down other side of lakes. seems to be a HUGE mental effort to get out and run at the moment. small victory today thoguh i guess.

Swimming 30:00 [3]

Its been a while since teh pool creche went on holidays. A nice 1.5km swim at clarence pool

Running 47:41 [3]

Despite feeling awful last time I ran I gave it another shot (as opposed to retiring permantly!) and had a nice run despite my radio with new headphones going flat up the first hill.

kayaking 55:00 [3]

beautiful day. pity about the wind as I got soaked and I even had a spraydeck. Also the chop was pretty steep so I kayaked 25 minutes out into it head on, turned quickly and kayaked back into the bay as I was too scared to go side onto them as I would've been swimming back. lame-o I know but you know I was by myself at all - i.e. no sympathy if I ditched.

Running 35:00 [3]

struggling. but got out there at least. nature reserve.

Running (ferntree) 1:05:57 [3]

Day 3 of my 3 day training program. Usual ferntree, springs blah blah blah loop. Gave it my all up the hill and managed 20:11 with no untimed breaks. consequently felt a bit nauseous the rest of the way but then again that could have been the expresso choc mini cupcakes I've been experimenting with..

Running 47:00 [3]

Plod around nature reserve. I actually thought I was moving ok but was a couple of minutes slower than my usual. I blame the lack of headphones hence lack of music - I'm sure I slow down without it.

kayaking 50:00 [3]

Kayak from Kettering. This time i can legitimately claim 50 minutes of actual kayaking as I didn't stop to float around and drag my fingers in the water despite the beautiful weather. photo evidence on my blog

Running 49:00 [3]

Alum Cliffs track - from bridge to where it is closed and back. v.slow but steep pinches didn't really bother me for a change - seems easy compared to the mountain and trugannini track.

Running 50:00 [3]

VEry slow return -to-running blob around the nature reserve. VEry sydney weather today - steamy and v.warm at 8:30am. Saw a big brown snake in first 30 seconds but only dog-walkers after that.

Walking 1:00:00 [3]

from churhill ave to mt nelson signal station and back.. just didn't feel like running. and it was a bit .. hot?

in other training related news I got a 7mm splinter out of my knee which had been there for 5 months. yay.

cycling 1:00:00 [3]

YAY - finally manged to get out and do something. An easy but pleasant 1 hour on the pipeline track.

It's a pity that putting runninng gear on with the intention of running doesn't really count cos this is the 3rd day in a row i've been wearing running gear around for many hours without actually running..
