Probably not the best thing to do whenyou are just recovering but managed probably 750 before time ran out. Zali also challenged me to a 25 m backstroke race which she won - but I am demanding a rematch as I had trouble getting past her.

(injured) (sick)

After two solid days of cake workshop preparation, I seem to have exacerbated what must have been a gym injury from saturday. So now I have a very sore hand. I am also getting sick. and whiney. There's no check boxy for 'whiney' though.

orienteering - the terrain was not suited to my stankle so I took it pretty easy.

Organ pipes walk with Miriam and a group of her nice friends for her 40th celebration. the walk actually took 3.5 hours but as some of that was spent drinking champagne and scoffing Norman and Dan chocolates I will only count 2.

from sandy bay to home on my stealth road bike - it is so quiet compared to the rattly mountain bike.
I was already in my bottom gear just leaving taroona which didn't leave me much room to change down going over the bonnet. Had cold cold arms on the descent as the balled up cycling arms I had packed turned out to be one arm and one sock. I blame the washing sorter-outerer.

little run around the Water works. had to stop for a smokers breather halfway up the steps but generally did ok on the hill. managed not to roll ankles on way back down too.

Orienteering race 45:00 [3]

Stringybark Creek. A nice change to actually run there as opposed to organise an event there.

I recon I've got about $5 worth of ankle tape on both ankles at the moment so I'm going to have to keep it on and go for a run tomorrow to get my money's worth.

Also I saw Hanny running uphill across a clearing at the Waterworks today (Zali and Jett we're at a kids party there). This sighting so rare it's almost like seeing a tasmanian tiger.

Alum Cliffs. All i am discovering with this running once or twice or nunce a week is that I am getting less and less fit. The first hill of the alum cliffs run nearly killed me today. could be time to get focussed on the Aus Champs and start training - rather than un-training.

once again i've got nothing else to put in so I'm going with basketball. tonight we played on the grown-up's court and as is traditional for us on this court, we only had 4 players. Also we lost but that is understandable.

Since we had no subs and I didn't do anything else today I'm putting this in. We won 47-21.
