Same run as yesterday but with less stopping to decide where to go next so went a little further.have now packed running shoes away for a month or more as have op to fix stankle this afternoon.

A few laps of the course jon was doing on his one hour race today. I think he managed about 12 laps. I did 3.5

Mariville Esplanade in Sandy Bay to Kingston Sailing Club. Cleverly I had the light winds behind me all the way. Saw 4 other ski paddlers, 3 sea-kayak paddlers and 8 dolphins.

was a beautiful day but I only got out there at 4.15 as the sun was going down so it got pretty cold! 8 x 3minshard, 2mins moderate sets from kingston beach almost to taroona and back.

From lifts opening to lifts closing with a stop for lunch and morning tea! All the runs are very very short so I didn't get the leg-burning feeling I've had previously on long runs but it was still pretty exhausting - including the hairy rides up on the t-bars and pommers - no chair lift to rest on!

According to the B.O.M. the air temp was 4.5 degrees as I put my boat into the water at 4.45pm today. According to M.E. the water temperature was f**king freezing when I fell out of my boat at 4.46 pm as a result of a manouver that was designed to keep me dry getting in. Sheesh.

I was thinking that would be the end of my paddling session but I managed to recover (both from embarassement, and from shock) and had a good session of 3 x 2.5km solid sets in about 16, 17 & 17 minutes respectively.

ran around the waterworks up to ridgeway then back down. Was running through snow from the top of gentle annie falls. fun!

wasn't a particularly good run - but I blame the weather.. and the course was a bit steep.

45 of this was regular swimming, the other 45 was sprinting up and down the pool before or after Zali. She had to give me a head start if it was anything that was predominantly kicking or backstroke, I had to give her a head start if it was freestyle/breastroke.

Basketball 45:00 [3]

Actually was basketball training which was a nice change. The weather has been terrible so anything inside is a good option. Not sure when I'll get out on my ski next.

GYM - cardio 1:00:00 [3]

Only went to the gym because it has fox footy and I wanted to watch the swans/suns game. However the game turned out to be god-awful so I split my time between the swans, the bombers/richmond game and the netball semi final.

Program - less total distance but more puffiness

my phone battery cut out before I could get an accurate total time but I felt like I was moving faster than the last time I did this run.

Walked the conningham loop with my neighbour from the other end of the street.
had a great day today - day off & kids at school.

I actually would have much preferred to run today but I only had one training opportunity (as jon is in sydney) and I've seen the weather forecast for the rest of the week (windy & snow) so thought i had better get out while I could. From Sandy bay I followed the shore up to the csiro, then turned and cut straight across back to long beach (I wanted to catch the choppy waves) then I went down to blinking billy, then back into the little bay. It's cool I can measure the distances now so I can get an idea of them in relation to the race distances.

Anaerobic threshold - warm-up, then 5 lots of (4 mins solid/hard, 2 mins moderate), warm-down

was a bit windy so went down kingston beach, then into browns river for the intervals. then back out again. had fun surfing down the swell back to the car at the other end of the beach - more of that would be fun!

waterworks. should declare that 5 minutes of this run were spent walking while on the phone to someone who claimed her cake-maker had died (really) and she needed a spongebob cake by Tuesday.
