Orienteering 29:00 [3]

Orienteering race 38:00 [3]

Race on same area, using many of the same controls from yesterdays slogfest. So not amaazingly challenging, but then again had no excuses for making mistakes. Unfortunatley I butchered a routechoice to a straight forward control and my few minutes lost cost me dearly as most others had clean runs. hard and steep going again though.

Orienteering race 1:16:00 [3]

REALLY tough race on transit flat map on the shitty steep part. had 240m climb in 5k and only lost a minute to navigational errors. so hard to move through the forest and soooo steep. happy enough with "run" though.

cycling 1:35:00 [3]

Jon dropped me and another orienteer at start of yesterday's loop and we did it again, only much better. Then rode all the way back to St Helens where I met up with the family who were busy feeding the fish with their bait.

so that's two rides in two days. one more for Jon to admit it was worth taking my bike!

Orienteering race 1:18:00 [3]

Despite the time I actually had a good run on 1st race of weekend at St Helens but I lost my dibber in a fern bush on way to 7th (out of ten) controls. I immediately stopped and destroyed bush in my search but couldn't find it after almost 10 minutes. So continued race, punching on map. So after arriving back, Jon and another friend came back out to help me look again, jon found it almost straight away, so then I finished the course - my splits will be good except for the 48 minute one!

cycling 1:15:00 [3]

amazingly after not even pumping up the tyres, oiling hte chain or doing any maintenance on my poor neglected bike after at least 6 months of non-use, probably more, it worked perfectly when I took it on a ride of the humbug forest loop. Took me a while to pick up the start of the track, but once i did it was great.

Running 55:00 [3]

Running 45:00 [3]
