morning commute. very grey and a bit chilli. timed 'Spew Hill' for the first time - 45 seconds.

boxing. didn't require too much choreography today, so no-one was hurt.

not too bad a session. Did regular kettle bell swings for a change which was good. Unfortunately we had time for some ab work at the end. ugg.

Walking 3:15:00 [3]

From fern tree, up to springs then via organ pipes and zig zag track up to the pinnacle. My journey went from wet waterfalls up to a snowy winter wonderland. I must have passed 20 groups along the way, each one more ill dressed than the last! I was prepared and near the top I needed all my warm gear and I had my nice dry walking boots as well. They must have been freezing particularly once they felt the wind up near the top where it was also steadily snowing. There were people in shorts.

30 minutes fern tree to springs via not-radfords track. 30 to base of zig-zag, 30ish to top.

On the way back down I did a few up and down loops so that Jon and I finished at the same time - he was running out the pipeline track.

Peter Murrell then home. the park was really nice - the flowers are out. The run home was a bit boring but ok. The bath afterwards was the bomb.

Today we were floating like butterflies, and stinging like bees. it turns out we both have a special boxing talent - that being the reverse spin-punchy thing.

commute home. was just minding my own business and nearly got wiped out by a car zooming past then trying to cut in front of me to go left into the servo. I had to hit the brakes so hard my back wheel went up in the air. Once I returned to earth I followed the driver into the servo and gave her a small serve myself

In a surprisingly calm voice (and with no swearing) I asked if she saw me. She didn't say anything so I followed with 'you nearly killed me - I had my brakes on so hard I was in the air'. I think she then realised how close it was and apologised profusely, saying ' I thought I would make it' . Nup.

Both of my really near misses have been cars seeing i am there, accelerating past on my right then cutting me off as they turn left. All to save waiting a few seconds then turning behind me. humph.

orienteering five mile beach. was nice to run but my foot is a bit sore now which is odd as it's such a soft surface. More likely it's Saturday's hike

Did a little bit of jogging, but not much, mostly walking. Springs, Organ Pipes Track, the Chalet, Junction Cabin, Sphinx Rock, Springs. Very Pleasant.

Hut Number 3 - Fortescue Bay 14k + 2-3k

This includes a 25 minute run back to the hut and then back up mt fortescue because Zali left her e-reader in the bunk bed. sigh! luckily we were only 1/4 of the way up the big climb for the day!

From Munro Hut out to the 'Blade' at Cape Pillar, then back to the day 3 hut. MOst of day was spent without big pack so that was nice!

Pretty easy hike - just 3 hours or so to cover the 11k at a leisurely pace - stopping at all the seats and art. very pleasant afternoon in the sun whale watching at Murno hut.

wanted to stick to the soft ground so back to Peter Murrell this morning. The flowers were out and the puddles were deep so it was really nice. foot ok.

HIIT session was good today - painful as always but low impact which is good cos for some reason my foot feels dodgy.
