It was the schools champs at Mt Nelson - luckily i wasn't representing a school as I mad a bit of a hash up of a few controls. I discovered a Taswater manwhole thingy splurging raw sewerage into a creek, so Bert will report that tomorrow which is good.
Also Ally Brammell was there so I could give her a hug.
Zali and Jett both won.

Orienteering 42:00 [3]

I finally went to Tollmans Hill! Orienteering was on the Ridgeway map but it has been very conveniently burnt recently - so the forest was pretty runnable and the tracks were good too - so the overall experience was way nicer than I was expecting. Views over hobart were amazing.

wednesday night orienteering at the botanical gardens. So much fun! after a few days rest my feet and assorted niggles felt pretty good which was a relief.

Totally awesome circuit from Fortescue Bay, to junction of the three capes walk via the old track, then left and over Mount Fortescue and back to Fortescue Bay. Very very lovely. Julie did the 30k Cape Pillar trip while I did my loop

we discovered you could walk all hte way to Port Arthur from the Caravan park, via the foreshore. it was a really nice walk and a lovely evening.

Crrescent bay and Mt Brown - amazingly lovely beach. Can't believe I haven't been there before - definitely one to come back to with the kids.

From Ida Bay Railway to southport Lagoon and back. More than half of this on the train tracks but it was still really great fun.

Day 3 of the sand dunes 3-day - Overshot the first control and started looking way too early for another one. Still not too bad though - happy to get 3 respectable days of pittwater navigation.

Really happy with day 2s run - won the course overall which makes me very happy! Some hesitations on a few, and a couple were lucky. My only real mistake was losing 90 seconds because I saw the control from a distance and then got to the spot and couldn't see it anymore.

Pretty happy with this on what I consider a really hard course - many of my controls were on depressions - which you only see when you fall over them. Lost time on one control and was lucky to find it without wasting evven longer. Pretty good other than that.

summer series wentworth park. Had a feeling I'd start running but be to sore in my feet/ankles to continue so was pleasantly surprised that they seemed ok so I just took it easy and cruised around. first run since last wednesday
