truganini track first thing the morning is ambitious I now realise. I felt so scrappy that I deliberately didn't time it but I recon about 23 mins if I'm being kind to myself!

short commute. had to hurry though or would have been late to paddling

fun last training session. Up to taroona high (which wasn't fun actually as it was windy and wavy). Then 3 mins with side-on swell paddling towards the middle of the river. Then a ripper of a downwind effort back and around blinking billy and back to the beach. threw absolute caution to the wind and hooned back, catching every last wave I could to the point of submerging the front half of the boat as I nosedived down the front of a wave with water pounding in the sides. Totally blew away the people who normally paddle away from me. woo hoo ! unfortunately sundays race will probably be dead flat so the status quo will be restored.
