Running 30:00 [3]

it was 1.0 degree when I started running. there were numerous icy puddles. went to first lookout on alum cliffs run

kayaking 45:00 [3]

had planned to do a session on Browns River after run but the Browns River Blast Chiller was turned on (there's a weird local freezing wind that comes straight down the river from the mountain) - so I decided to drive up to marieville - which is where I was going to park anyway - and paddle from there. It was a good decision - nice and sunny and calm (but still only 2.9 degrees).

Running 10:00 [3]

so amongst other things today I forgot my bike helmet (it's hard to remember bike stuff, work stuff, paddle stuff & running stuff - particularly when some of it needs to be collected at 6am). So had to run to work rather than ride. so that was another 10 mins. cans of coke quite agitated by time I arrived.

Note

Also: I had to get the ice off the car, and the ice out of the seat of my boat before I paddled. but you don't hear me complaining. PL

kayaking 1:15:00 [3] 11.0 km (6:49 / km)

tough thursday night paddle session tonight. 5 x 4 min efforts with 2 mins paddling in between all heading south. then just about at taroona high we turned and did 1 long effort back. first downwind swell of the season for me so that was fun. but tiring.

Running 51:00 [3]

waterworks loop. been going a little further up the pipeline track before I turn each time. today i went to 3rd bridge.

kayaking 55:00 [3]

5 x 5min intervals with about 2 mins in between. garmin will tell the truth about session when I download the data. it was gusty and a little choppy so didn't get into a great rhythm.

kayaking 1:13:00 [3] 10.0 km (7:18 / km)

cruisy paddle out of Kingston. grey day but quite calm. rained for last 10 minutes.

Orienteering 37:00 [3]

Peter Murrell reserve. pretty dodgy course if you ask me but was still nice to get out. legs got ripped to shreds by unmarked blackberries/gorse on the obvious route choices. feels like I have sunburn - can't wait to stick them in salt water tomorrow morning.
