very fun night event at peter murrell reserve. Ran together with Jett on the medium. Mostly on tracks but we did take a few short-cuts through the scrub, which was just about head high for Jett so I kept losing him! fun though.
cajoled into this by friend who goes who couldn't get past the thought that the gym was directly under my building and I still never go.
much like an intervals session I dreaded it all morning, suffered during it, but feel pretty good about it now. I'm sure i'll feel the pain in a few days time. hopefully my back will be ok.
pipeline track. wasn't intending to run, in fact I fixed my flata tyre and got my cycling gear all ready but then realised I had to pick up Jett after work. So yet another run - chose the pipeline for the gentle gradient and it was a beautiful morning to be up there. Again, the hokas were the bomb for tired feet.
Executed the perfect storm on the way to the first control, stupidly crossed a track without pinpointing my location on the way, then headed vaguely into the dunes expecting it all to work out. It didn't and I lost 3 minutes. BUT, then I had a great run, ticking off attack points and spiking controls, sometimes by surprise. So very happy wiht the rest of it.
WaterPolo1:00:00 [3]
On way home from orienteering we stopped at clarence so the kids could school me in water polo ahead of my first pick-up training/match next saturday. Am confident I will be completely exhausted.
