Orienteering (OY3 Big Bush) 1:00:00 intensity: (20:00 @2) + (20:00 @3) + (20:00 @4) ** 4.0 km (15:00 / km) +400m 10:00 / km

Planner for this event. Various running around to the start and back and placing/checking controls etc, but mostly a day at registration.

9 AM

Orienteering intervals (Checking controls) 2:11:00 [3] **** 7.08 km (18:31 / km) +325m 15:03 / km
ahr:119 max:199

11 AM

Orienteering intervals (Placing controls) 1:22:00 intensity: (30:00 @2) + (22:00 @3) + (30:00 @4) **** 4.52 km (18:09 / km) +300m 13:38 / km
ahr:136 max:174

Watch wasn't running all the time so not quite sure how far I went.
5 PM

Orienteering (Teetotal) 30:16 [4] **** 2.75 km (11:00 / km) +16m 10:41 / km
ahr:137 max:166 spiked:7/8c shoes: Mizuno Waves

Control picking, managed to go backwards and get the last eight controls before bumping into the guys pulling them in. Found everything but wasn't always clean.
Conclusion: More practice needed on accurately entering the circle. I need a better idea of what direction I'm entering from and what I should expect to see on the edges of the circle.
7 PM

Orienteering race (Rogaine) 57:00 [4] *** 8.0 km (7:08 / km) +80m 6:47 / km

Night rogaine around the village, cruisy run with Jen. Both still nursing ankles so just enjoying being out on a race together. Left 110 points on the field that we could have achieved with a little more route planning, and 90 with some better technique within the control circle (common theme today...).
Watch dead by this stage.
