Setting out all the controls in public places before event and doing last check of the white courses.
Controller for a club relay, bit of an experiment. Learnt lots about both what people want in an event and several aspects of the course planning - one advantage of having 12 courses!

Conclusions:
1) worth doing different things like this occasionally
2) next version should be on an easier map (or a park map) with a forked option for individuals
3) I need to attend a controllers clinic
4) Must have a coordinator, planner and controller for every significant club event
