Running (Moderate) 1:00:00 [3] 13.0 km (4:37 / km) +200m 4:17 / km

Among the things I'm not good at today: reading. Tomorrow's session out of the way 24 hours ahead of time.

Trying to run relaxed, getting around pretty well.

Running (Easy) 1:00:00 [2] 9.5 km (6:19 / km) +200m 5:43 / km

Good run, 6 strides a bit better than yesterday.

Running (Easy) 40:00 [2] 7.0 km (5:43 / km) +100m 5:20 / km

Easy running, 4 strides. Mostly all good. A tiny bit off on the strides but that could down to normal day to day funniness rather than 4000s fatigue.

Running 30:00 [2] 3.0 km (10:00 / km)

Numbers approximate, apart from the climbing.

Jogging on the soft sand on the beach. No ill effect, maybe something lingering in my lower left leg. Will go a better run or bike ride tomorrow and maybe run through some s&c exercises.

Cycling (Easy) 1:40:00 [2]

40ish k, a couple of hundred metres.

Bun run, excellent buns.

I have a GPS track for the 4000s with dodgy altitude measurements. I've sent it and my splits to Pete Duggan, the the guy who maintains the Long Distance Records page on the SHR website. May post about it once I've heard back from him and perhaps from Paul Raistrick himself. No photos, a phone would have been unnecessary weight!

Still a few pretty sore bits, quads, bits of calves etc. Walked/jogged on the treadmill at 3k/hr and 15percent for half an hour pre massage to warm things up and loosen off a bit. Overall I'm in better shape than I'd feared I might be but I'll err on the side of caution. It'd be frustrating to jump back into running and have it bite me in the arse at the Skyline.
