More of the same really. A bit hungry despite eating >300/hr while running, still in a calorie hole after yesterday's run. I'll make extra sure to stuff my face this afternoon. Weather still looking favourable for tomorrow.

Day 1 - tick.

11 laps of the smaller hill. Thinking to do the 3 days pretty much as they appear in the training plan and I'm saving Meall a' Bhuachaille for Sunday in the hopes a little snow will disappear and the half term hordes will trample it down a little. Also by then the post gym muscle tenderness should have been replaced by general weariness.

Today went fine. Getting slidier towards the end as the snow on the trail got softer and I chewed the ground up a little. I'll wear slightly newer shoes tomorrow.

Mostly easy, 20' ish pushing a bigger gear. Legs good on the bike, quads a bit tender the rest of the day. Upper body gym session before work.

Run, coffee break, gym. Technical term for today's weather is "hoora windy". Pleasantly surprised by pace given blusterinessand snowiness underfoot. Felt easy, moving well.

Gym session good, moving weights up a bit on a few exercises and not struggling at all. Maybe more hamstring DOMS like last week but got a cool down spin on the bike and some stretching so fingers crossed. Good day's training.

Easy plodding, six strides were fine, a bit more lateral movement than usual dodging this winter's potholes in the fireroads.

Grand plans for PC and upper body gym work fell by the wayside as I didn't give myself enough time and couldn't be arsed. Got PC done, UB is a job for FutureAlly.

Left gracilis tender this morning, just where it joins the hip, so i had a thorough warm up. 20' easy, some strides etc. and made sure to ease into the first interval. I'd thought it might have to be 3x15 but the snow on Drill Hill was mostly very shallow and somewhat compacted from estate vehicles driving up there. Some softer sections higher up but all running and no impact on effort.

2x20' ups were good. A little tiredness from last 3 or 4 days but nothing tweaky or uncomfortable. Cruisey on the downs, about 14'30". A decent weekend's work I think. Massage tomorrow and a couple of easy days will be nice.
